Cloud height visual estimation scale for the Thomas Creek Estates neighborhood

Minimum cloud base elevation (aka ceiling) is the mimimum elevation above ground level (AGL) that clouds may form. How to use the photos to estimate actual cloud heights AGL -- if the base of a cloud on the lower photo, which updates every 180 secs, covers the local topography at an elevation point on the upper photo, then the cloud base height is considered to be at that elevation AGL or lower. Much of the time this visual estimation method compares very well to the computed minimum cloud base elevation. Significant deviations between these two elevations would indicate anomalous humidity or temperature deviations at higher elevations from the normally expected humidity or temperature profiles.
